Question about Universal Day Tickets

We've all had APs for years, but next trip some of my family will have day tickets.

Does anyone know if you can 'park hop' with a day ticket? For example, could we got to IOA and US in the morning, then go back to the parks in the evening, all on the one day ticket?

You have to purchase the one day two parket ticket to hop back and forth.
