Question about UK attendence 2 weeks ago..?

Hello all!

We were down at the DIS during the last week of October and noticed there were a lot of families from the UK there (I mean A LOT!).. just wondering if it was some kind of school holiday/typical vacation week for people in the UK..? I was going to ask, but I felt kind of stupid going up to someone to find out why they're there. hehe

Most UK schools have three 'terms' (equivalent to US semesters).

There is a break of about one week in the middle of each 'term' called the 'half-term' holiday.

Depending where the weekends fall, that's usually the last week in October and why Disney was full of Brits.

Unless of course you live in Scotland and the schools close the 2nd or 3rd week in Oct (sometimes 2 weeks).
It means we can take advantage of the cheaper flights too.
