Question about transportation around Disneyland

I have two different questions about transportation, hope someone can help me!

1. We will like to go and visit a Beach near Disneyland but haven't been able to figure out how to do it without having to rent a car or spend close to 2 hours in a bus. Today I found out about a tour called "OC Beach Bus Tour" in the Anaheim Visitor Center website and it says that they will take us in a bus to Huntington, Newport, Balboa and Laguna beach in one day and that you can hop on and off the tour bus and spend 3 hours in either of the beaches. Has anyone done this tour and does it sound like a good idea? It's $43 dlls per adult and $29 per kid (I'm traveling with my DH and my 5 year old DS)

2. We will be taking the ART system to get to the parks. If I buy a 5 day ticket, are they consecutive days or do I have a period of time to use them like a Disney 5-day hopper ticket?

Is the tour that uses the Woody vans??!!!!

I remember reading about it & thought it would be a cool way to visit the OC beaches. (Doesn't it make several stops & you can hop on & hop off at your leisure?)

Nina, if you do this, would you please come back to our board & give us your thoughts & impressions. I'd love to get a first hand report.

Hopefully they'll have some Beach Boys music on the ol' CD player.

Yup, by the looks of it this is the one! They mention the Woody vans or buses and they say you can hop on and off. To be honest with you I'm still thinking about it, because for the price we will pay in total ($115) I can probably rent a car for a couple of days I just didn't want to rent a car that week since we're renting a car the following week to go to San Diego....

If we take the tour though I will come back and report!

The ART passes are for consecutive days.

WHAT??? I didnt know anything about this tour!!! Got me thinking now. I am planning another trip for later on this year or next spring. I wanna look into that. Thank you!
