Question about transfers...

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere...

If I have two DVC memberships, one that has everything (not resale) and a resale membership that is after the change in what you receive, how does member services know that if I were to transfer points from my resale to my other membership that these points are not eligable for a cruise, or whatever?

There is the contract number which is attached to your points, so even if you transfer them from one Membership Number to another, they would know that the points that were resale-restricted.
If you look at your dvcmember website, whether you have one UY or two your points are listed separately by contract ... even if you had bought both direct they'd still be listed as .001, .002 is my understanding. (We have one direct, one resale, different UY). If you have the same UY they would not need to even be transferred.
They can only be combined for a single nights stay at a DVC resort if you have the same UY or transfer, as I'm sure you know.
