Question about transferring between resorts

We plan on staying in DVC villas at SSR starting on a Friday, but we want to head down late the night before on Thursday to save on airfare and most likely pay cash for one night at All Star Movies (my kids choice lol). How would I go about getting my luggage over to SSR and ourselves as well? I'm hoping that Disney can help us out in some manner so we don't have to call taxis or get a car service as we are trying to save some dough. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Whenever we did a split stay Bell Services transferred our bags for us.
We just do express checkout at the first resort, drop our bags off with Bell Services telling them where to send them (they'll ask for reservation number I think). Then we hit the parks.
Later we show up at the second resort, check in and our bags (including anything frozen) will be brought up to our room for us. Easy as pie.

I've heard of some people using a taxi to transfer their bags themselves then leaving them with Bell Services at the second resort, but we've never had an issue with the transfer.

HTH,
Heather

Bell services wil take care of having your luggage taken to SSR. Once you get to SSR, check in and your room is ready, give the SSR bell services a call and they will bring your things to you.

As far as yourself, you will need to take a bus to one of the parks or DTD, and then go from there to SSR.

We have always done split DVC stays and they are easy to manage. We have had a rental car but even so, we have used bell services and it was easy. The only thing to realize is that your bags will probably not be to SSR until the afternoon so be sure that anything you might need for that day is kept out and brought with you.

Good luck and have fun!

Bell services does a great job of moving your stuff over for you. One other thing you might want to do is head to SSR in the morning and check in. Most likely your room will not be ready, but they will set you up and call you when your room is ready. (So you'll have your keys, etc. already)

We just did a split stay last March. We had our bags picked up by bell services in the morning and then went to a park. I had a bag packed with all our swimsuits that I put in a locker at the park. I had already done online check in, so when we were done at AK early afternoon, we headed over to BCV, got our room keys and headed to the pool. We got the text an hour later that our room was ready and DH contacted bell services and they brought our bags to our room. It was painless and we loved staying at two resorts.:goodvibes
