Hey everyone!!

Hope ur all doing well =D.

I was wondering, does anyone know how long after the arrival date at Disneyland, does the traditions, training start? A few days or more than a week? My friends are planning a trip (a few days) a week after my arrival date, and I just wanted to know so I can plan whether or not I'll be able to make it. If anyone knows, i'd really appreciate it!!! THANKS!

If I remember correctly, it was less than a week --maybe only a few days before my daughter had her traditions. We were there on the 20th when she checked in at Vista, and left not even 2 full days later. And Im almost sure it was right after that that she had Traditions. There are so many meetings, etc. that Im not exactly clear. I do know that after check in at Vista on the morning of the 20th, we moved her into her apt., then she had a meeting at 3pm which lasted till approx. 5pm then she had the evening free and all the next day. I dont know if its that way for everyone, tho. Her roomate has had a totally different schedule than hers this past week as far as their training goes. But they were both off the entire day after checking in at Vista on the 20th.

Make sure you ask about the maingate pass because from what I understand you wont get it for awhile after your check in date. Not sure though..Joanna any help?

At WDW - you have to work X amount of time and then it can take two-three weeks to get to your Maingate through the mail

The Maingate allows you to bring up to 3 guests into the parks on 6 different occassions. Just be aware that if you don't bring all 3 guests in one time, the extra person/people do not carry over (so if you only bring 2 guests in one day, the extra person doesn't carry over to the next day). Also, there are blackout dates where the Maingate doesn't work. The dates are:

Magic Kingdom Park: February 14 - 15, April 3 - 17, July 3 - August 1, November 26 - 28, December 24 - 31, 2009

Epcot: April 7 - 14, December 24 - 31, 2009

Disney's Hollywood Studios: April 8 - 9, 13 - 15, July 3 - 5, November 27 - 28, December 26 - 31, 2009

Disney's Animal Kingdom Park: February 15 - 16, April 6 - 16, November 27, December 26 - 30, 2009

Hope this helps.

Yes thank you!

First off, welcome fellow Disneyland CP-er :) It's nice to see more of us.
From what I understand from others who are doing the DLR college program, who are there now, are reporting that traditions and training start within days after you arrive. Apparently that first day is check-in/moving-in day. The the next day, you start traditions and then the next couple of days is training. Again, I got this from CP-ers at DLR who are there right now.

When is your arrival date?

^Out of curiosity, do these CPers have blogs? I'd absolutely LOVE to read 'em!!!

^Oh sweet! Thanks so much!!! :D I'll most definitely bookmark your blog... I'm excited to see an actually updated DLR CP blog haha :D
