So....I'll be there for a short solo trip in March. I've never been to DL before so I'm new to all of it. I'm receiving a 1 day park hopper from the meeting that I'm attending. And, I'm planning to purchase a 1 day ticket as well.

I will have from about 1 pm - close on Friday. Then, I'll have all day Saturday. Would you buy another park hopper? I'd like to save the $50 if it's not really needed but I'm willing to shell it out if it will make a big difference. I was thinking that I could use the 1 day (non-park hopper) on Friday since I don't really have all day. Then, save the park hopper for all day Saturday. Thoughts? Which park would you go to on Friday if I did that?

If it makes any difference World of Color will be closed while I'm there. Not sure if that matters. Looking forward to your feedback!

Thanks!

With only 1.5 days, I think you can probably get by without a hopper (although, I personally much prefer to have a hopper) on the half day. In terms of timing and the half day, I would say it really depends on how much you want to do and which rides you want to do. Do you like thrill rides? Shows? What are your high priorities?

For my family, I would probably opt to use the non-hopper on Friday (half-day) at Disneyland and then the hopper on Saturday and start at DCA and hop back to DL in the afternoon or after I've finished what I wanted to do in DCA.

I love thrill rides but I'm a huge disney nerd. So I'm probably most excited about the classic rides at Disneyland. I'm excited about Cars Land. And I LOVE Soarin but it will be closed when I'm there. I was thinking the same thing...go to DL on Friday then hop between the two on Sat. Thanks!

I agree that you won't need the hopper for your first half-day. There's definitely a lot more to do in the original "Walt's Park" so I would start there, then add DCA when you have the hopper.

That's what I would do! Sounds like a great plan.
