Question about TIW and large groups

I have never bought TIW but am thinking about it for my next trip. However on a few of the nights we will have a rather large party of 14 guests. Would the 20% apply for a portion of the people or not at all? I guess we could ask for separate checks but that might be a bit awkward. I'm just not sure how it works with parties over 10 people. I'm not married so cannot purchase the additional membership.

The discount will be valid for the card holder and up to 9 guests. Not sure how the restaurant will process the transaction.

They will usually take the 20% off of the 10 most expensive meals. The others will remain at full price.

Keep in mind that they will accept payment only from the person whose name is on the TIW card. If you are all using cash this won't be a problem, but if you each want to use your own credit cards to split the bill it won't be allowed. We usually put everything on our credit card and have our friends/family pay us back at the end of the trip. You could also have them pay you back right away and then pay down your room charge (if you are staying on property) with those funds.

Thanks! if this is the case I think it's worth it to purchase for this trip! I did see about how I'd have to pay for the meals. So I need to discuss if we want to pay cash or they can pay me later. Of course I'd rather put it on my card and get points on top of it...lol

You can charge purchases back to your room even with a DVC Reservation.

Oh right yeah...we never do that though so I forgot that aspect. Too confusing to sort out the bills at the end...lol
