Hi, I know this question has been asked before but what does everyone tip mousekeeping per day? Thanks for the help!

15% minimum, >15% if they're extra nice
For mousekeeping??? that would be a huge tip!

We do tip a few dollars per day. Others do not. It is a personal choice.

$1-$2 per person per day, depending on how much of a mess the rooms is. I tip on a daily basis since I may not get the same mousekeeper at the end of my trip as we had at the beginning.

We generally leave $5 for three of us, daily. $2 more in teh evening of we're getting turndown service.

Some people like to make up tip envelopes in advance, I can't be bothered and leave the tip on or under their name card or the bathroom soap dish.

$2 or $3 per day for the whole room, not per person. $5 the last day when we tend to leave a mess.

$2-$3 per day for the two of us and we keep our room pretty neat and tidy.

We leave $5.00 a day for the 4 of us. And we keep our room pretty clean.

Hmm, perhaps I have been UNDER tipping?! :earseek:

I usually do $1 per bed per day, extra if we leave it messy on a given day. We did have issues with mousekeeping last time we were there. They didn't come one day. Perhaps we weren't as generous as we would have been otherwise? Extra change is added on the last day. We are neat and clean.

We too had a problem with tipping when we were there last time. We had not tipped before until I read it here we should so we decided to tip 5.00 a day for the 2 of us. The first day they came late after 3:30 and we left the tip but they didn't take it. However the room looked great when we came back. The second day we left the tip in a more obvious place on the bathroom sink and they took the tip but did not do a very good job cleaning. I use the coffee pot and had emptied it and left it in the sink and it was still there and no new coffee so had to go out and buy coffee the next morning. No new soap either. They did replace towels and made the bed and we are not messy people so it isn't much to do but I was surprised by the coffee. It was obvious I drank the coffee and I usually leave the pot in the sink and it is always put away by the Mousekeepers and new coffee left. We have stayed at Disney several times ( we average about 5x a year always onsite) and I felt that I got better sevice when we didn't leave the tip. It might have just been an off day or possibly where we stayed, our first stay at Caribbean Beach. We are going again in a few weeks and will try the tip thing again.

We tip $1 per person per day but most of the time we end up leaving $5 for our family of 4.

Leaving the tip on the unmade bed will for sure get it picked up. When I started working and travelling in 1987, I didn't tip for the longest time. Then one of my co-workers chastised me and said, "they clean the bathroom you have been using! Tip them!" Needless to say, I have tipped ever since. LOL

DH tips sometimes and sometimes not. No rhyme or reason. This is regular work travelling for him.

DH and I tip $5 per day. I think $3 is the recommended amount, but we figure anyone that cleans hotels for a living needs the money, and we've always had great service (and not just at Disney hotels, either!).

I would say this was a bad day... or a new or not so great mousekeeper. If we don't get towels, coffee etc we always call & ask they are usually very quick to respond.

We usually leave a $5 for the three of us... on the bed pillow so they know it's for them and not just forgotten in the room. UNLESS, they go full out and leave us towel animals, arrange our stuffed friends and generally make it fun for us... then we tip VERY WELL. We have occasionally left the room without tipping, either forgot or didn't have change (we do make it up later) and we've never noticed a difference in service.

I really like the pre-made envelope idea... then they would know for sure! And we wouldn't have to worry about not having change!

I forgot to read the mousekeeping part.

We do tip atleast 5$/ day depending on the loose change we have. But that's the norm, all of us in the room (my friends) have to add something.

$0 - mousekeeping (at least when we stayed at AKL) was no included in the lists of tipped positions.

I have never tipped while staying at a hotel. And until visiting the Dis I didn't realize that others did.

I can say that on the Dis $1 per person per day, seems to be pretty standard.
