Question about tickets

We are a family of five booked at the Polynesian next May for 9 nights. I bought 7 day Park Hoppers thru Hotwire savings club for $302.96 I think. My question is, I think I would like to upgrade these passes to AP's when we get there, (as well as maybe get an AP discount on the room). What will they charge me for the difference? I assume it will be for the AP minus the advanced purchase price for 7 day PHP's which I'm not sure what that is. I feel kind of foolish asking this but I just wanted to plan for the amount of money that I will need.

Also, where would the closest place be to do this, maybe TTC?

Thanks for the help!

Linda

They would give you credit for how much Hotwire paid Disney for the tickets towards the AP. You can look on the WDW site for the ticket prices.

There is no guarantee that there would be AP rates for your stay.

There is a location at DTD that can handle that for you.

Disney will scan the passes for you and tell you how much will be credited toward an Annual Pass or a Premium Annual Pass (I believe that if you have not used your Park Hopper Plus you can apply the price to either an AP or a PAP...however, if you have used it even once a PHP can only be applied to a PAP)

I know it can be done at the Ticket and Transportation Center ticket windows because I have done it there. I am pretty sure it can also be done at ANY park's ticket windows.

If you wish to use an AP discount you must show your AP at check-in (you can book the AP rate ahead of time if there is one available)...which I think must mean you would have to get your PHPs turned into APs before you go through the check-in process (or at least one of them anyway lol)

Hope this helps.

This last part is not accurate. They will ask for the AP at check-in. If you do not have it they will note that on the record. If you do not go back to the front desk and show your AP within a few days they will convert the room rate to full rack rate. As long as you go back (preferably no later than the day after check-in) you will be OK.

Only true if you used a plus option(s) and you do the upgrade within 7 days of first use of the ticket. Not true if you used a major park admission(s) or are doing the transaction after the first 7 day window.

Thanks for all of the replies!

It would be nice to check in first, and then head right for MK and upgrade the tickets there. Then we could show the AP when we get back to the room. That is if we are lucky enough to get a discount. If not, that is okay I still want to upgrade the tickets because then maybe we could return at Christmas!!

Thanks again for the advice!

Linda
