Question about ticket assignments

So we're going in February to WDW, we're DVC members and AP holders.

However...this time we're taking my in-laws (in their 70s) and they are buying park tickets at a discounted rate through a 3rd party.

I manage their profiles within friends and family. I was able to order them magic bands.

Here's my question:

Can I input their tickets? They will get the ticket numbers/ID# from the third party, so I am guessing I can just go into my WDW account and select add tickets , put in their numbers and then assign to them?

Is this correct? Any ideas?

I've done this before. My sister wasn't comfortable with managing her Disney account when we first started visiting on our own so I managed her profile under Friends and Family. She would buy her tickets from a 3rd party and forward the email to me so that I could put the info in and assign it to her. It worked just fine. She manages her own account now but I can still add tickets to her profile if I want to gift them to her.
