When we were at US/IOA in 2000, my son and I went through the queue line for DD, then at the end of the line hubby got on the ride, we got out the 'escape door', we are going again this year and I'd again like to go through the queue line (we thought it was so cool!) but we are both chickens when it comes to riding roller coasters so we definitely aren't going to ride, (but my hubby and sister will be riding) do they frown on this? The last time we were there it was the middle of May and the lines were basically non-existent, but this time we are going in the middle of August, so I was just wondering if it would be a problem???

I don't think it would be a problem to worry about it mainly because the ride operators can't see you until you stand in the loading area. I'm sure many people chicken out at the last minute so you won't be the only ones. ;)

In fact they have a child swap station just off the side of the track. You can and sit in there in A/C.
