My kids are 7, 5 and 4. They are already fighting over who is going to sleep in the "wall bed" So, I explained we will be on the ship for 4 nights and they can all have a turn sleeping in it.

Does it have a safety bar like a bunk bed? I am just concerned for them rolling off.

The Murphy bed folds down out of the wall and will sit on the floor, just like a regular twin sized bed. It's not up high like the bed that folds down from the ceiling and looks like a bunk. I know you can ask your cabin steward for guard rails, if you are concerned about children rolling out of it. They will bring guard rails for all 3 twin beds if you need them, assuming you and your DH won't need them for your bed ;)

Hope this helps :)

We stayed in a cat 4 and the bunk bed had a rail on it every night. The other two beds are very low to the ground so you probably won't have a problem at all. My four year old slept on the bottom bunk and did just fine. Have fun!
