Does anyone know if they still have it in the rain? My son's school band is scheduled to perform Sunday (was 90% chance of rain, now down to 70%, lol)...and we are hoping they get to perform even if it rains.

Anyone who goes often have the answer?
Thanks!

Jill

Not sure about Universal, but at Disney if it's not thunder and lightning or a very hard downpour, they march.

I take bands and choirs to Orlando 5-10 times per year for my job, and we've had many rainy performances at Disney. The couple of times I have had groups perform at Universal, we have had good weather.

Have fun!

I have seen them with the ground wet where they don't stop, use stilts, and no rollerskates. I have also seen them roll out the parade a bit earlier if weather is in the area.

that is how the parade was done on two of the days i was at the darkside in october.
after a rain, the streets were really wet!

floats were there but no regular activity by the performers.
pogo sticks, skates, dancing, etc.

but, it still was good as the performers walked with the floats and would shake hands, wave to those watching from the sidewalks.

My DD performs in the US parade. Give me a few minutes & I'll text her fir an snswer

She said that must be the Veterans Day parade. The regular parade does not go if it is actually raining but this is a special one so doesn't necessarily follow the same guidelines. Sorry could not be of more help
