Does it really work?

Is it easy to use?

Is there another tool that works better?

One of my twins enjoys PB & J sandwiches, but I have to cut off the crust because she won't chew it. I was talking to my mom last night, and I was telling her I want to get one of these. She said a lady at her church has one, and she makes tuna and chicken salad sandwiches for church gatherings with her's. My mom said I should save my money and just cut off the crusts with a knife then use a fork to crimp the edges shut. Yes, that would work, but I enjoy kitchen gadgets!

I got one a couple years ago for my son and I absolutely love it!!! I works great! I use it for all kinds of sandwiches for the kids, neither one of them likes the crust. I would definately reccommend it to anyone.

Ditto - I have it and use it often as well. LOVE IT! My daughter loves PB but not Jelly...it's so nice to be able to quickly customize your sandwich!

It is one of the best purchases ever made. I hate crust on my sandwiches.

Make sure you read the directions. You put the cutter on the bread and twist it to cut the bread then press down to seal it. I had a friend who hated and said her bread wasn't cutting right and breaking it up. Come to find out she was doing it all wrong. Now that she read the directions, she loves it.

So great for kids and packing sandwiches for on the go...

I just love mine as well. My DD6 love PB&J everyday for lunch. I make them every Sunday for the whole week. They freeze great just like an uncrustable. They keep her lunch cold and thaw in perfect time

Hi I"m a Pampered Chef consultant. I pack my daughter's lunch w/ mine everyday. Also can be used to make perogies and mini empanadas.;)

OK! I must be doing it wrong too. I don't have the instructions anymore. Would someone please share them. I hate mine. The bread tears. Also, how much PB & jelly do you put? DD7 says they taste yucky and she only wants the bought ones. Help!

You press the circle part down to cut the bread and twist it back and forth a couple of times (don't press the button on the top), just hold on to the bottom. After you twist it, it cuts the bread and you pull the excess away (which would be the crust). Then you press down on the top part a couple of times to seal the sandwich.

Maybe someone can explain it a little better if you don't understand what I'm trying to say.

Thanks for sharing the instructions, T.Lynn. I bid on one on eBay, and I don't think it comes with instructions. :)

I just used mine 5 minutes ago for both of my girls and then I found this post. LOL! We don't eat PB&J without using that thing anymore.

The real irony of it is that they will usually ALSO eat the crust separately. Especially if I can get it to stay intact with the big whole in the middle. I'll put goldfish crackers or something smaller in the middle of it. I think it is the novelty of the whole thing.

I don't know exactly how much pb and J to put in the middle, but I use a big spoon to scoop out the pb& j and then put in middle. i have noticed if I put to much filling in the bread will tear and filling comes out.

To me, it's kinda trial and error. My daughter doesn't like peanut butter & jelly so I can't be of any help there.

My mom actually bought one just so she could have it for my two boys when they stay with her. It works so well. Of course I am a nut for anything pampered chef, especially the stoneware.

I usually only put a total of 1 1/2 tsp. 3/4 of each. I don't do exact measurments and I use my regular old teaspoons. It sounds like only a little but too much and it will tear. My DD used to only eat the store bough ones but now she only eats these. I think it is because I can use any flavor of jelly and they only come in 2.

If you put a thin smear of PB on both sides and then put the jelly in the middle, it keeps the jelly from making the bread soggy, especially if you are making them to eat in a school lunch where they aren't going to be eaten right away.

Thanks for all of the tips. I will get it out of the drawer and try again. Maybe I can figure it out. The bought ones are way to expensive!
