I haven't been to DL in 3 years, a lot has changed. We will be going the end of march and my mother is going to be coming with us for one of the four days we'll be there. She cannot stand in the lines and has a wheel chair, but I know a lot of lines won't accomdate a wheel chair, but she can walk, would I be able to bring one of these into the line with us?

With a wheelchair, she will have access through other means, sometimes exits, especially in DL. In CA Adventure, most lines are handicapped accessible. I have never seen anybody use one of those portable chairs in line. The lines just move to fast and she would constantly be getting up and down. I suggest you research DL's new Guest Assistance Program.

This is will not make it through bag check. Look at the list of what is not allowed into the park. Folding chairs is on the list. In addition, the lines move fairly consistantly. No sooner would you get it set up, than you'd be moving again...

Agree if she has a physical limitation that's what the guest assize cue program is for. Disney will give her the accommodation she needs.

With a wheelchair, she will go to the queue of the line, and they will direct her to either go through the line (like Matterhorn) or will give her a return time. Lines in DCA are fully accessible. In Disneyland, it is hit or miss. Most lines are not accessible. But when lines aren't accessible, there are alternate lines/waits. Just ask.

I used a cane with a tri fold seat, and they fought me everytime I went through security, with it resulting in me being able to use the cane... or a wheelchair.. but NOT the seat...
as stated if she is in a wheelchair she will be directed where to go.... (and not in bad way:rotfl2:)

If she is in a wheelchair, she will NOT be able to get a DAS card. These are for those with limitations that are not visible. I wear a back brace for support under my shirt, therefore I am eligible. But those with wheelchairs, canes, etc. are supposed to be directed by CMs to the proper lines or issued a return time card.

I still think they are tweaking this new program, but thats how it is at this time. Having said that though, it wouldn't hurt to go to City Hall in DL or Chamber of Commerce at DCA and inquire about it. Sometimes, it depends on the CM that you interact with and they might give you a card anyway. Wouldn't hurt to try. Good luck and I'm sure you and your family will have a great time!
