Question about the hotels in the DTD area

I can never find much written on them I Plaza Royal is nice looking online.

Does this change the "Magic Feeling"?

Is the bus system really inferior, as I have heard, or is it good?

I also understand that even though they are on Disney property that you cant charge park stuff to your room and that you cant have packages delivered there- is that true?

Its just me and my husband- Id like to find an affordable way to go in May and I do not wish to stay a the All Stars.

I look forward to anything folks can tell me about these hotels.

I found the bus system to be really great! You do travel to each of the DTD Hotels on pick up and drop off depending on which hotel you're at. The Wyndham has the best schedule (Last to be picked up and first off in January). Seemed like brand new Disney buses to me.

We couldn't charge to the room, but had many packages delivered at no charge since we were still on Disney property- inside the gates.

There is a thread from about 10 days ago about the Royal Plaza and it seems that folks liked the place as long as they stayed in their "Tower" rooms just like a couple of other DTD places.

I loved being in DTD and loved being right next door to the Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and seeing the fireworks from my window.

I also found the bus service to be really great! We stayed in a Tower Suite and really enjoyed it. Do a search for Hotel Royal Plaza and you will find alot of dissusion on this topic.
