Hey guys,
Went shopping for digital camera's today and found a couple that I loved....however, my question is about the SD Cards.....What suggestion do you guys have about clearing off your memory cards so that you can re-use them while you are down there....is there anywhere on-site at Disney to do this? Or What do I do about keeping my cards clear so I can take more pics....I take a lot of pictures and I have 2 SD cards and I don't want to spend a lot of money on buying more cards....just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to do this....Thanks guys.

We just delete any pictures we don't like -- our Nikon lets us choose and delete any photo individually.

I take my laptop with me, leave it in the room, and download them each night. Obviously this only an option if you have a laptop.

I believe there are places on site that will take your card and cut a CD with the pictures on them. If not, this can be done off-site at Walmart or possibly even Walgreens I believe, as well as other places, I imagine.

I find it sometimes difficult to tell on the small LCD screen of the camera if the picture is worth keeping or not, so I don't usually delete them until it's obvious they aren't good pictures. And I take a lot of picture, it's the beauty of digital.

Thanks guys......I never thought of that....I have a laptop and I will just take that with me and upload them from my camera to the computer.....thanks guys, however, if anyone knows of any on-site places to put the SD discs in and put on CD's I would like to know so I wouldn't have to take my computer.

I did a DISboards search on the CD burning topic and couldn't find anything, even though I know it's been discussed recently. I guess my searching skills need improvement. I would also like to know in case I don't want to take my laptop one of these trips (I think my wife would be stunned!)

One nice thing about having the laptop is that I usually leave the screensaver going with the picture directory I am loading up and as the trip goes along, we have a sort of instant slideshow with our day's memories. That way the laptop becomes a nice piece of decor in the room instead being an eyesore, or just being in the way.

I heard that there are several places in varies park that will upload your memory cards on to a CD or even into a Disney picture album. I also heard this may be available at some resorts.

The camera shops in all of the parks will copy your images from and memory card to CD for about $12. I think there is a limit to the number of images per CD (120/CD) I think. In my opinion it would be better to do it at home on your own computer or go to Walmart or Walgreens and get it done for about $5 instead.

Also, I would suggest taking more than one memory card just incase you have problems with one card, you will have a spare and save having to spend more than needed to replace your memory card.

With my card last year - I took it to Walgreens and downloaded them - thank goodness I checked before I deleted b/c they did not all transfer - I would definately not go the walmart route!!!

I asked about it at the parks and they told me they would keep the card and I could get it back the next morning - so in the parks it is not an instant option!

I am taking my laptop this time! my pictures are too important to trust anyone else to transfer them!!!

I take mine to my local Wal-mart all the time and never have a problem. You can download to a disk for $2.86. The disk hold up to 250 pictures. You also get a little print out of all the pictures on the disk.

Personaly, I have 3 SD cards so I'm hoping not to run out of room but if I do, I'm heading to Wal-mart to download them.
