Question about the DDP (drinks)

Okay, I've been doing a lot of research on the DDP. We are using it for the first time this July. But I have a question that I haven't seen answered yet (unless I totally missed it)

We will be using our TS credits between breakfast buffets and sit down dinners. And I know that a TS credit includes an app, entree, non-alcoholic drink & dessert. What I want to know is what happens if we'd like another soda with our meal? From the restaurants that I've listed below do any of these have like free refills or would I have to pay OOP for an extra drink? And what about the buffets, are the drinks unlimited?

For TS restaurants we will be at

LcCellier for dinner
Chef Mickey's for breakfast & dinner (not on same days)
Crystal Palace for breakfast & dinner (not on same days)
Sci Fi Diner for dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast
Breakfastasaurus for breakfast

Bottom line, I'm just trying to figure what extra money we will need when it comes to paying something OOP for the dining plan. Any thing else that I'd need to know? My DH was very reluctant about even doing the DDP (always thinks everything is a rip off ) so I don't want to have to pay for too much, if anything OOP, if you know what I mean.

I'm sure we won't have a problem during lunch or breakfast with our CS credits, we just seem to always get another drink when it comes to dinner time.

All of those places, buffets included, have unlimited non-alcoholic beverages included.

You shouldn't have to pay anything oop with the dining plan as tax, tip, your meal and non-alocholic beverages are included.

I think you and your dh will enjoy the dining plan! My family loves it!

Okay thanks. That'll help. I remember we've been to these places before (but not been on the DDP) and remember being able to get more than one drink but didn't know if being ON the DDP was any different.

Soda, coffee, tea, etc are all refillable during your ts meal.

However, if you get a specialty non alcholic beverage, like a smoothie or shake, these are not refillable (except at WCC where they are always refillable).

What if we order a soda or other N/A drink with the meal, and then ask for coffee with dessert? Do they have any problem with that? I would pay for the coffee OOP if necessary but wonder if that is usually the case.

Technically it can go either way in terms of whether you'd pay extra for the coffee, but you can always, surely, order it.

Yes, we always get four bottled waters at our CS.

Am just a little curious about your choice of TS meals. The breakfast buffets are one of the cheaper possibilities when purchasing OOP and while you will probably break even on your DDP purchase price when you add in a CS meal and snacks I would think they are not always the best use of DDP. Is there some strategy here I am missing? As long as you eat CS meals and snacks that add up to $14-15 a day per adult you will just break even per day by using the TS credits for breakfast. What's great about the DDP plan is that it works well for some people and in different ways. As I said I am just curious as most times I have seen people stay away from the breakfast buffets in favor of using the credits at lunch or dinner.

as far as drinks, with cs and ts you get a beverage. cs you do not get a refill but with ts you do. I drink a lot of soda and they were very good at refilling my drinks.

As far as bottled water/bottle soda you can get them in the park at no charge when you use a snack credit.
