Question about the blue card with a new direct sale

Hello all,

Question;

Currently I’m in the process of buying resale, but later in the year I also want to add on a 125 points direct contract. I live in Europe, so I plan to buy this direct contract in the Fall when I’m onsite at Disney World.

When you buy DVC direct in DW, would it be possible to directly receive your blue card on the same / next day, or is this something they send out to you some days or weeks later?

Your digital blue card will appear ( or rather your white card will turn into a blue card) in your DVC account about the same time as your points for a direct purchase. That is a matter of hours after your deposit is paid iirc.

Mine went from white to blue overnight. Just did it last Friday.

As they said, digital card will be blue that day. It took us probably 2+ weeks to get our actual blue cards in the mail after closing our direct sale, this March. So if your waiting for the physical card to reach you out of the US it could be a while.

We purchased direct back end of April- actual points and such loaded later that day. We still do not have our blue cards yet- was told this would be sent after closing which is set for 5/31/21- We leave for Disney on 6/3 so I may not get them in time. So I just took a picture of the digital one online from my account and will use that if all else fails.

We bought in April too and still don't have ours yet. Also I JUST was finally able to schedule a "welcome home call" and the earliest they had was June 13. They must just be super backlogged at the moment!

Itll happen same day/next day depending on the timing. As soon as you get the paperwork for the direct contract you should have the blue card in your account online that day, and that is all that is required for and DVC benefits
