Question about the Annual Pass renewal expiration date?

Hello, tried searching in older posts, but didn't really find an answer to my question.

Our passes expire in August, but with Sunday's price increases we are considering renewing tonight or tomorrow (Saturday) to save a little.

However, we're confused about the expiration date. Will the expiration date change? Say I buy it tomorrow, August 1st - would that be the new expiration date instead of the current date which is later in the month of August? So again this is for renewing, and we'll be doing it online (we have both Deluxe & a Premium - upgrading to all Premiums).

Thanks for any info.

I'm trying to remember what I have read when my renewal came. I THINK, but not sure, you would get the new renewal date, but I could be wrong. I didn't pay too much attention since we won't get new APs until next summer.

Hi, OK, in case anyone is following this and is wondering the same thing:

I called the AP office, and was told that my current expiration date would remain the same - renewing before the date would not affect the existing expiration date.

A few additional things I found out:

Not talking about renewing - but if you purchase passes online, they do not become active until you use them. So they don't become active as soon as you purchase them, they become active when you first go through the turnstile. However you have 30 days from the purchase date to active them.

Didn't asked about the website prices, guess anyone could log in and find out. But if you received a renewal form in the mail, the form has the "soon-to-be" older prices. Even after Sunday's price increase, I was told as long as you following the instructions on the mail form and send that in, the previous rates would still qualify, you would not have to pay extra.

So for now I don't have to worry about renewing before Sunday, we have about 2 weeks before our passes expire. However we're not going back until late September so we are considering letting things expire, pay a little more, and purchase then so we can gain an extra month for next year.
