Question about Swan/Dolphin discounts

I'm in the planning stages of an October or November 2008 WDW trip. I'm really interested in the Swan or Dolphin for part of our stay (we'll be staying at the Poly for a few nights at the end ).

I've read a lot about discounts at the Swan/Dolphin, but mainly see the "teacher rate" mentioned when people say they got great deals. If I don't qualify for the teacher or government or any other special discount rate, can I still get a pretty decent discount for the Swan or Dolphin? Thanks!

The Swan/Dolphin also offer AAA, Entertainment Book, and AP discounts that are a few dollars more than Teacher/Nurse/Gov discounts. If you go to the DIS homepage and click on the "Book It" box for S/D and put in your dates you can see the discounts available. Or call the resorts directly!

Thanks! It looks like I might be investigating AAA membership or purchasing an entertainment book this year!

I dont know what the rates were this past year but they gave us Concierge level suite for 99 bucks on the Firefighter rate . back in 06

We will be staying at the Dolphin with a Teacher's discount($159/nite, $178.88 tax incl). We think its a great rate for a great place!
