question about staying on-property

We've never had to show ID for any of our kids. They are all school aged, but two don't even have student ids. This year, we have APs, so a picture attached, but even the first time we activated them, they never asked for their id.

On our last trip, we stayed onsite and the kids had to show their room key for EMH. Although it was hit and miss whether just showing mine was enough or they wanted to see all of them and whether flashing it was enough or they wanted to inspect the dates. We got into line prepared to show them though.

We were asked for every ones photo ids, room keys and park pass' the first morning both times. I had all the ids ready and provided them. The CMs didn't ask to see the ids again. We have school ids, state ids, and passports for our children. We do travel a lot domestic and international, the more ids you have the better off you are. I saw no problem providing ids when asked. Perhaps not being California residents had something to do with it, I do not know. Just passing on what happened to us.

We're not California residents but still have never been asked for IDs for the kids. Maybe they were asking for IDs for the adults (which I think I remember giving) but since you handed the kids IDs too they just didn't say they weren't needed. We never travel anywhere in the US with any ID for ours kids. It's not mandatory that they have to have ID and we don't even have state IDs for them. We've never had a problem with TSA with them not having ID so I don't see why Disney would want them to have ID.

DS2 (28) and I were there in April, stayed at the Grand. We were never asked for IDs, just hoppers and room keys.

We have never been asked for ID for the kids. When we have stayed on property they have asked for room keys and park tickets. When we have used the military salute tickets we have been asked for ID's but we just handed the adults Ids and were never questioned about the children. My kids have passports but we do not travel with them inside the US and unless it becomes required by federal law I have no intention of ever doing so. Only one of my 3 kids has a school ID, but again we wouldn't bring it with us on vacation, it stays at home with her school backpack. We are not California residents.

The last two times we were at the parks, Photo ID for everyone including school age kids was required the first morning of early entry. Yes, everyone had to have a photo id(except young children of course) We made sure our children had their school ids with them the first morning. The CMs checked everyones id with the room keys and we entered the park. Every morning after that, the CMs did not require the picture ids but, did check everyones park pass and room keys.

Strange, our DD has never been asked for ID. Shes 13 now but people usually think she's older and she's still never been asked for ID. I'm glad too because she has no ID to show them

Just reporting what has happened to us. The better half claims it is because I look really MAD most of the time(I am usually happy), we get checked a lot closer than other people for some reason. She says I am the only person she has ever seen get asked for secondary IDs by customs when returning stateside(they ask about half the time and I always hand them one of my ids and they scan it, look at the screen, then look at me and say thank you sir-have a nice day). I do not know why this happens. I know a couple people that never get double checked on anything or get tickets from traffic cops. I get checked a lot(bad KARMA ?)
