Question about stainless steel

Am I wrong or is stainless steel supposed to be rust-proof? I have some good Farberware steak knives that I have had for years and I just recently noticed they were starting to rust.....I thought that was kind of odd.

I don't know the answer. I have Faberware steak knives, one has a rust spot???

I have Farberware pots and pans taht I have had for years. No rust. I agree, I did not think it was supposed to rust.

Stainless steel can rust and corrode.
