I think I know the answer to this is probably no but I figured I would ask. If you booked a roundtrip flight and then the price of one way of that flight went down but the other went up. I assume there is no way to get credit for the way that went down since the overall ticket price (round trip) is now actually higher. It is Southwest airline.

?????

thanks so much

Yes there is. Just pull up your reservation online and click on the change reservation link. Then just check the box next to the flight you want to change but leave the other flight unchecked. Click "continue" and then change your dates on the next page if necessary. If it's the same day and time, just click the "Select New Flight" button. Then just choose the flight with the lower price. The amount you paid for your flight will be applied to the cost of the new flight.

FYI you will only get a SW travel credit which must be used within 1 year from the date you bought the original ticket, you will not get any cash back or credit to your credit card.

This is true if the original ticket was a Wanna Get Away fare. If it was a Business Select or Anytime fare then the difference is fully refundable.

This is one of the reasons I fly Southwest. If you are diligent and keep an eye on the fares, you can always rebook one way whenever you want. Be careful though, those credits expire at one year from the issue date of the original ticket - not when you rebooked it!
