question about smoking

Two threads in 3 mins My DB smokes and I just wondered with the resorts I am staying at if there are designated areas he can smoke. I have some park maps and can see there are spots dotted around the parks.He is not a chain smoker or anything but likes to have a smoke now and then.
Also does anyone know whether it is best to buy on the plane/dutyfree going out or wait till he gets there and go to walmart? I have no idea as dont smoke but wondered if USA cigarttes were cheaper. Come on tiggs I know you smoke

Buy Duty Free. You will pay about 30-40% of the regular price. Cigarettes cost around $10 in Disney and about $8 in the stores in the US - and I am sure they have gone up this year again.

Tell your DB to make sure to pick up a bargain at Duty Free on your way home. Now they have REALLY GOOD DEALS! Duty free prices, but 3 for 2 last year when we were there

$8 a packet!!!! I thought they were around $4 a pack. I know the airport were charging £30 for 400 in June as my friend got him some. Do you mean they are cheaper on the way back to the uk? I think £28 for 200 is still good so 400 for £30 is a steal. Yes we are at SSR and AKLV. RPR the first 5 days.He doesnt smoke in the house goes outside and wont expose us to it.

It depends what you smoke and where you go to buy them. It's not so much a case of them being cheaper on the way back, but they seem to offer better combo deals on the other side. It is always cheaper to buy Duty Free than Duty Paid. I agree, £30 for 400 is a steal. I paid £26 for 200 last year and could have got 400 for £40 on the way out, but I didn't need 400. They did have some for £30 ish for 400, but not my brand or any kind I liked. I can't smoke the strong stuff so it was no good to me. I am sure you will find them cheapest at places like Walmart but I have no idea what the cost is and again, although cheaper than in theme parks and gas stations, they will still be more than Duty free.

Thanks tiggs.He wont smoke 400 in 2 weeks but obviously want to bring some back.Planning on going to wallmart when we get there to get bottles of water etc so will have a look.He may be a few packs for keepsake. Smokes windsor blue or L&butler or bh at a push. Thanks for the maps. Waiting for the mickey post. Should be here soon I hope.

You sure? I bought cigs in Zawadi at the AKL the year before last, maybe its changed.
There are 2 smoking areas at The Animal Kingdom Lodge, one just near the bus stops and one down near the pool. Depending on what room you are in it can be a bit of a trek, but its not a bad place to take a stroll in

You can. You have to ask for them at the cash register. They are kept out of view at the resort gift shops. Last year, $10 per pack.
