Question about Shopkicks

I think I got about 1,500 kicks today. Sometimes there's nothing to scan and no walk in kicks, sometimes it's like Christmas in July I guess We have an Oshkosh/Carter's store which just opened by our Kroger where I've gotten a ton of kicks but I think they think I'm nuts.

I have used all of my Shopkick rewards to get Target gift cards, which I have used to buy Disney giftcards for this upcoming trip. When my husband first started his kicks were more than mine but now we usually have the same amount.

1500....that's incredible. We just got a Carters and Osh Kosh but I couldn't find the items to scan. It's a fun thing to do. I get tired of email surveys!

I found everything but one top at Oshkosh but it involved some trial and error I think I got 675 points there and there were a bunch of 150 point walk ins (Best Buy, JCP, Aerie, American Eagle).

I buy Target gift cards with my points and give them to my kids who generally use them to buy Disney gift cards for souvenirs on our cruises. I think I'm up to $220 in < 15 months.

When you open the app, it automatically shows you stores. To the left is products. If you click on products, there's a whole bunch of things you can click on. For example, the first thing in mine today says "welcome baby". Click on that. Then once you do, if you scroll all the way down, there is an envelope at the bottom. Click on it for some kicks. Do that for all of them. Some have envelopes, some don't. Most are 1 kick but some are 5. I couldn't do every single envelope because I got an error message that I reached my daily limit.

thanks for the tips! i just signed up... i couldnt get the door checkin to work at target yesterday! i tried to come in 3 times and it never did anything... any tips on check in?

Does your Target have another entrance? The Target I go to it only works at the one entrance near the HBA items.

Thanks for the awesome tips on envelopes in Products! I've been shopkicking for about 6 months and didn't know about this! I haven't actually redeemed anything yet, but I'm over the $25 Target gift card mark.

I will say that mine sometimes has trouble with walk-ins. My Target walk-ins are great, but they don't ever work when I walk into Kroger, but will usually go off when I'm about 50-75 feet into the store doing my shopping. Guess it's just sensitive like that.

Macy's gives me trouble for walk ins. I'm very close to a $25 reward. Visiting my daughter over the weekend who lives about 2 hrs away. I'm hoping for different store Walk ins cuz I reached my monthly limit near me.

Based on what I was seeing here I went ahead and signed up for ShopKicks. I have been using it for about a week and a half, and I learned here about the envelopes in some of the collections (yay!)... and I have scanned and done walk ins. So I am earning points, but I am wondering what recommendations folks have for accelerating things? Anyone got tips or a favorite tip site?? Thanks!!

The one thing I can't do is referrals - I get pissy when people send links like that to me so I don't want to be doing it to others (even though I know it can earn some points)

It's very hit or miss. Some weekends I get 1,500 and then I can go two weeks and hardly get any. I average about $15/month but last year I was closer to $20-25/month.

i got a lot of points for linking my cc and making 2 purchases at carters this week earned me 900 and 500 points for things i would have bought anyways!

I have to admit I get kicks just for driving by our Macy's entrance, don't even have to walk in. I usually don't go out of my way to go into stores, but if they are all in a strip mall anyway, might as well.

I've also found that the scans change every couple of days or so, but I think it can vary.
