Hi! We are bring the extended family to Fl in March and my nephew is active coast guard and wants to stay on site at the Military hotel with his furture wife..... I am the family expert of WDW and I would love to be aboe to answer questions. Can his parents stay also? What are the rates? Will it be open for business in March? The 5th or so... Will they extend the Salute tickets or can-should he by his now? Can he buy tickets for his girlfriend and parents? Any other info would be great. Bobbie:D

He can buy tickets for whomever he chooses. Sometimes, depending on how long you stay and deals you can get, it is cheaper to buy tickets on base at the ITT/MWR office. And yes, anyone can stay at the resort with him. It can even be friends. I was always careful who I chose to stay there with me since I figured the reservations were under our name so if my guests demolished the room, I would be financially responsible for damages.

I would advise him to compare the ticket prices from his ITT/MWR office and the Shades of Green ticket prices. We found that the Shades of Green price is sometimes cheaper.

As far as the Military Salute tickets, even if he were to purchase them now, they would not be good after 12/19. We just purchased them over Thanksgiving and the information given to us at that time states "This ticket expires and may not be used after December 19, 2003". It is the same for the companion tickets that can be purchased.

On the Shades of Green site, there is a listing of ticket prices available for purchase there.
