I have read all the reports about how crowds have been and strategies to avoid the majority of them, but I was wondering how people think the change in park hours will affect "the best laid plans". I also know that traditionally, these dates are supposed to be a very slow period. Do those of you that are experts believe this will hold true for this year as well?
Thank you in advance for even more help and probably repeat and silly questions!

Disney cuts back on hours based on anticipated "load". -Thus, shorter hours should mean less guests.
However, Disney has raised the ante by providing Free Dining.
I always feel bad for folks who get to go in September-you don't get the joy of long lines and seventeen hour park days...
(OK, so I am jealous--enjoy the parks, no matter the lines)
PS- Harry Potter was totally worth our summer trip. Was there July 3/4...Big Fan-the main attraction is superb.

There are no silly questions...just silly people. Just kidding.

I don't think it's going to be as slow as in previous years but it will be slower than this summer. Also...if you're going during the weekend of 9/10 through 9/14, you are going to run into Rock The Universe on 9/10 and 9/11. It's a separate hard ticket event at the Studios from 4pm-1am so the Studios will be very busy in the afternoon on both days. I doubt IOA will feel much of the effect but you never know.

Thanks! :lovestruc

I was thinking staying on property and maybe spending afternoons at IOA would help us avoid most of the Rock the Universe crowds.

A couple more questions:
Do you think we should add Blue Man Group one night?
What restaurant would be the most perfect to celebrate a 10th wedding anniversary (if we can talk my mom and dad into keeping the boys with them one night)?
