Question about selling/possible delayed closing

I have two contracts and am considering selling one, but I have a reservation booked under it for later this year. I can't really tinker with the reservation, its tied in to fairly firm plans in the area.

Are you able to "transfer" the reservation to the second membership (the same way you can transfer out points) or do simply have to wait until the reservations are completed to consider selling the membership (i.e. delayed closing, or not go to market yet).

There is no particular urgency here, its more of a curiosity as I've never tinkered with point transfers in the past (i.e. i'm not looking to get creative or cheeky to avoid delaying a sale)

Are you contracts the same use year? The same home resort? Was the reservation booked between 7 and 11 months in advance?

You can modify a reservation to use points from a different contract in certain situations, but you cannot transfer a reservation to a different membership or break the home resort booking advantage.

same use year, different resorts. the reservations were 7 month reservations (i.e. the stays* shouldn't be tied to the home resort)

*they are two separate short rez's

Select to modify your reservation on the website. Be sure to choose to alter the days, even though you won't actually change the days. Then select the other contract. That should be all it takes.

If you have any points from the contract you want to sell in a reservation, then you can not close that contract until the reservation is completed,

The only other option is to use points from another contract in the same membership to replace them.

It only works if you have them, or can borrow them, and the reservation was made 7 months or less if your other points are a different resort.

Other than that, you have to do a delayed closing.
