Oops a moderator messed up this thread!

The question was: While exit rows have extra legroom, it appears that seats in front and in back of the exit row have even less legroom.

The answer is: Generally the seats just in front of the wing exit row are less desirable because they don't recline, but the legroom is the same as most other seats. There is usually nothing unusual about the seats just behind the wing exit row.

This is true regardless of make and model of airplane.

In addition the very last row in each cabin might have limited or no recline.

There is a website, seatguru.com that gives interesting and useful information about seat arrangements and legroom.

Thanks seashoreCM that is exactly what I needed to know!
