Hello Mickey friends:wave2:

I read in my Biersteins's (sp?) book that I see a lot of rides have the rider switch. For instance, if I go on Space Mountain with my DS8 & DD6 and my husband stays with our DS2.5 and when we're through with our ride it's then my husband's turn.....will my older children be able to ride again with their Dad?

Thanks...:crowded:

Yes, they can. My daughter loved this perk when her brother was too little to ride the thrill rides and she got to go on the ride first with me and then with her dad! At least I don't believe they've changed this in the past 3 years!

Our DD who was 9 at the time loved it. She got to ride Splash Mountain twice in a row. For the first time EVER she said "I'm glad I have a little brother!" lol.

on their procedure for doing this. It is not always the same.

It's been awhile, but.....
Star Tours - we all stood in line, and then the wait parent/child walked through the simulator to other side.
Splash Mountain - they had us go in the handicapped entrance at the end, didn't want us walking through the boat
Space Mountain - went through line and then waited at a different location the entry point
Dinosaur - had them wait outside by the exit, CM then admitted

Some may be different now but before you wait in line, ask a CM their procedure so you don't waste time.

They do have different procedures for different rides. I had a 9 mth old with me and he was not keen on waiting in the lines so if we were told to all wait in line I would simply ask if it would be possible to wait in another area they would alway oblige. It was much easier sitting in an air conditioned area rather than holding a squiming child in a long line.

What's really cool about that is if there are more than two adults (or big kids) in your family...since WDW doesn't want to make you ride alone...someone gets to ride twice!!!

We went with adult friends when we had a 1 year old. Most rides allowed up to 3 people to go, so DH and I switched off, and our friends got to go twice...they thought they had won the WDW lottery!!!!!

Mission space and Rock n Roller Coaster CM gave me a fast pass as DH waited in line. It worked okay but was a longer wait than space mountain where boarding was right after DH got off
