Hi guys, well let me give you my scenario and maybe someone could have some suggestions for me.

I booked a pkg during free dining for me and my family me, dh,ds9,dd7, had all my dining plans done, got all the restaurants I wanted, everything was planned out and then my bil,and his family and my mom and dh's mom decided to come as well, so the only room availability was for a week later, and now that I have had to change the travel dates and cancel my ADR's there is nothing left for TS dinners.

I was wondering what restaurants will be open during MNSSHP? Including counter service? I am at a loss on this one.

Also, could someone suggest a restaurant in or around MGM that I haven't thought of already??

I was thinking of booking the Mickey's Backyard Barbeque, has anyone done that??

Thanks

Kim

LTT and Tony's are open till about 9:30p.

Crystal Palace, The Castle and the Plaza are open till the park officially closes taking ADRs till about 6:30p.

Here are the counter services that are open during the party: <--I wrote 'party' with a colon after it and it did those dancing smilies!! :rotfl2:

Cosmic Rays
Main Street Bakery
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Casey's Corner
Pecos Bill Cafe
Westward Ho Refreshments
Frontierland Turkey Leg
Scuttle's Landing
The Lunching Pad
Cool Ship
Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies

Then you could also try the monorail resort restaurants like maybe Chef Mickey's, Kona Cafe, Ohana's, or 1900 Park Fare.

Good luck!

CP for the party, Spoodles for MGM.

LTT is fun for the party as the characters are costumed. Here are a few photos from '06:

Yeah, LTT is festive and fun in the regard that their characters wear eye masks (not full costumes) and the waitresses wear make up to look like HM CMs BUT my family didn't like the food at all.

We much prefer Tony's (their waitresses also wore make up) and CP.

Good luck OP.

What time at LLT do you suggest getting a reservation during MNSSHP? I would like to go when the characters are in costume but not too late. What would be the earliest you would make a reservation?

I believe LTT starts their dinner hours around 3:30p. They'll be open till about 9:30p.

The characters will be in their eye masks throughout the dinner hours.

Try Tony's as they will be open. Also Ohanas, Kona or Concourse are only a few minutes outside the park. We are going to Ohanas at 5:30 and then to MNSSHP right after. Just a couple minute boat ride away.

For MGM we really do not like the food inside the park. A boat ride over to boardwalk and you'll have a better selection such as Spoodles. Or a little longer boat ride and you'll be at Epcot with its many selections.

I went to the Mickey's Backyard BBQ years ago. It was very kid oriented. Although, I must say it was quite hot because it was held in a pavilion outside. I remember it being near where River Country use to be. The character interaction was great. And so was the food. Unfortunately, I have no pictures, only memories. And of course things may have changed since then.
