Question about resort package modification

I currently have 2 rooms booked at Dolphin that I reserved as a package with park tickets through Disney. I cannot change or modify anything in MDE, I have to call and I am currently on hold with a wait time of over 60 minutes.

The issue is, my ds just started a new job and does not know if he will be able to come with us now. He and dh are in one room and I'm in the other with my other kids. I have been holding off paying the balance on their room which is due tomorrow in case I need to change things.
My question is can I take him off the reservation today, but add him back at another date if he is able to go? Chances are his manager will let him but I don't want to risk not being able to get a refund for his tickets.
If I can't I won't bother waiting on hold and just pay the balance through the automated system. If I can then I guess I'll just sit here surfing until I speak to someone.

You can take him off and add him again , but check park pass availabilty. Those will be cancelled and you will need to rebook park reservations

That's great, and I knew about the park reservations being cancelled if he has no tickets. I'm hoping he hears back from his boss soon I can re-book ASAP if I have too.
I was on hold for over an hour and got disconnected
If I end up having to cancel him within the 30 days I'll just use the credit as an excuse to have to go again I guess. I'll already have an airline credit for his ticket so I'll have no choice
