Question about renting a reservation.

I have a confirmed reservation that I may not be able to use and I'm thinking of posting it for rent on the rent/trade boards, but first a question....If I find a renter and we both agree to the terms, once I go to put the reservation in that persons name, it would be considered a transfer by MS, is this correct? If so, this would be the one transfer I'm allowed to do per UY?

I have only rented once, a while ago and don't really remember the specifics of how it worked. I do know that there was nothing in writing, it was a verbal agreement, any suggestions on how to best handle an arrangement?

It's not a transfer, you still maintain control of the reservation and your renter is your guest.

Oh, okay, thanks. So then I just tell MS that I'm not the one staying in the room, so and so is, as my guest and it doesn't count as my one transfer per year - right? Thanks!

Just change the name from yours to theirs and ask that they reprint the confirmation.
