Question about renting a lot of points...

Hi,
Next April 2004 my family and I will be returning to WDW and we would like to rent points for a stay at BCV. From what I have calculated I will need something like 484 points for a 2 bedroom and a studio. What are my chances of finding someone with that many points? When should I start posting for it on the rent/trade board? I know there is an 11 month window for booking...should I find someone a few months before that? Is April (3rd week) going to be difficult to get a reservation? Thanks to all who can help!

Reservations for April, 2004 can't be booked until May, 2003 at the earliest.

It may be difficult to find one member with that many points to rent who owns at BCV, but you never know. You may need to find one for the first part of your reservation and another for the rest- the two reservations can be linked together.

I would suggest replying to member listings for points avalable in Feb/Mar, 2003 to let them know what your needs are. You can also post your needs (exact dates, resort and room size) on the Rent/Trade Board and see what happens.

While it is not essential that the entire allotment of points come from one member, dealing with one individual will be easier than many. Since your April reservation cannot be placed until May of 2003 and the third week of April 2004 is Easter, it would be a good idea to begin assembling your points now. Hopefully, by May 12, 2003 you will have all of the members in place whose points you will use for your April trip. I have been reserving points from my accounts for guest's use at a later date afor 10% of the anticipated rental price. This helps me plan my point usage and assures the guest of his required supply of points when the time comes to place the reservation. I should have enough points to do your entire trip.
