question about rented points

We have rented points for an april stay at VWL. We have heard that DVC members get certain discounts and additional benefits and have heard varying opinions on whether we would be eligible for these discounts during our stay as we rented the points. Would appreciate any opinions and also info on what these additional discounts and benefits might be. Thanks in advance.

Most discounts require presenting your DVC member card (which don't have), but some are worded "or your room key with DVC MEMBER on it," which you will have. I think it's hit or miss - I rented points and was offered 10% off at Basin and free valet parking at the BoardWalk (without asking).

Hello! I have been a DVC Member for 4 years and as far as I am aware any discounts are only available to the DVC members themselves. You will be eligible for parking passes which gives you free parking in the parks. I have to call DVC in the next couple of days- I'll ask in more detail and I will keep an eye out for your message and if it is still up- I'll get back to you!
