Question about rebooking on board?

We have a 4 night cruise booked for Dec 06 and I want to plan a 7 night for the following summer. If I book the 07 summer one when the dates come out can I still get a discount on that cruise when I sail in Dec 06? Or does this on board discount only apply to new bookings?

We booked our 7/2/05 cruise online with Disney the day they announced the West Coast cruises. When we took our 5/29/04 cruise, we looked into the rate for that same cruise date in '05. It was $200.00 cheaper and they gave us a $200.00 onboard credit. So, we rebooked onboard, then came home and canceled the original package that we had booked. (does that make sense?)

Yes, that make sense. I wonder if I could somehow keep the same rooms that I would initially book? I try to get connecting SPR's so that my teens have their own bathroom but are not so far away that I can't hear them!
