Question about Q&C Voucher use

What happens if you are eating somewhere where a side is included with your main meal, but you want a different side.
For example: at Pinochhio's Village Haus - If you ordered a double cheeseburger as your main dish (it comes with fries or carrots) can you order figaro fries as your side? Or in Beaches & Cream - If you ordered any of the sandwiches (they come with fries or fresh fruit) can you order onion rings as your side? It doesn't seem like such a great deal if you can't choose your side since don't most counter service restaurants offer something (fries, fruit, etc.) with just about all of their items?

My understanding is that most of the counter service places do allow you to order sandwiches a la carte even though they aren't listed separately. Beaches and Cream allowed for a separate side when we went but that was back in 2002. I sure hope they haven't changed. I just read a review from 'dazed and confused' and she used the vouchers at the one you mentioned, Pinocchio..., and she said she got figaro fries so I'm guessing they also allowed a different side. Her review is on the restaurant board.

Beaches and Cream does allow you to pick your own side. We did this in January. We really liked their onion rings! I think most places will allow you to do that.

Hi, I'm dazedandconfused! We loved loved loved Pinnochios village haus. The first day we ate there I got a salad so there was no "extra" side so they gave me the figaro fries. The second time we ate there I got the turkey sandwhich which came with a bag of chips which they gave me and then gave me an order of figaro fries too. I am not sure if you're ordering a burger that already comes with fries if they would do the extra side or not but I am sure they would let you have the figaro fries instead. They were very helpful here with giving me extra cups for the shake (which is really ice cream) and an extra cup to split a soda with my DH. They also have the fixin's bar there which my boys loved - sliced tomatoes and tons of pickles! HTH. Have a great time! Chris.
