Question about purchasing tickets

My friends and I are going to WDW in 1 month and we were toying with an idea of doing universal for one day. I plan to purchase tickets online, but how late is too late to buy the tickets?? Our Universal day would be a Monday (Jan 25, 2021). Do you think waiting a week or two before that date is unreasonable? I know the park has been reaching capacity recently... but I wonder how much of this is related to holiday season versus the new normal...?

I think you'll probably be fine. I'm guessing a lot of the park reaching capacity right now is holiday related. End of January has typically been slow and you're going on a Monday (as opposed to on the weekend).

I would just recommend getting there for rope drop if you can just in case.
