question about Priceline from LAX

I was thinking about putting in a bid for a car rental with Priceline. We would be picking it up at LAX. My question is if you have used this service and what kind of rate have you've gotten? It's just me and my DH so we only need an economy or compact car. I don't want to over bid and well I'm just not sure. I know what a regular rental costs but not a bid.

priceline scared me. So I did hotwire. Not as low as priceline can be, but not as scary either. And now I can't recall the cost, but it was low enough to make us happy. Just barely over what it would have cost for the 3 of us to use Disneyland Express round trip, and we got use of it for the days in between.


Have you checked out betterbidding.com? They have lots of good info on how to use hotwire and priceline.
