We are booked for AOA-FN suite in November and currently booked as a package (I'm not sure why because we didn't purchase tickets or dining through disney). I am hoping for a room only discount tomorrow, but would I need to go ahead and call today to change to room only? If suites are not included we may consider 2 rooms at a discounted moderate...any suggestions?? Thanks for your help!!!!

If a room only discount is announced and if your resort and room category are available for the discount, then the CM will simply apply the discount to the cost of your room. You do not have to change your package. The only thing that will be changed is how much you will be charged for the room portion of the package. It is very easy. ;)

ETA: If your room type is not available for a discount and you want to book a different resort, then they can do that very easily. If your current reservation truly is a package and you want to switch to a room only reservation, then they will cancel the package, refund your money, then charge a new deposit. Again, it is easy. The CM handles these all the time. :)

Are you sure you have a package if you don't have tickets? A package reservation number begins with a letter whereas a room only reservation begins with a number.

Sorry, I just saw your question!! I guess I'm not really sure? My confirmation number starts with one number and then two letters and on confirmation email beside package it says w8w/ basic so maybe it is room only? But it does show my payment is due 45 days before check-in?

I'm not sure this is entirely correct. I have a package (room + tickets, no dining) and my confirmation 3 starts with 1 number followed by 2 letters and another series of numbers. I just double check my My Disney Experience account to be sure and I indeed have a package :confused3
