Question about Polynesian and buses

Can someone tell me what the bus service from poly to dhs and ak is like? Does the Polynesian share buses with all the other monorail resorts? Does it take a long time to get to the other parks? Just trying to figure out how much time to allow for travel so we make it to our adr's on time. Thank you!

Tikiman has a good section outlining transportation: http://www.tikimanpages.com/poly/transportation. From personal experience, Poly tends to share a bus with CR and it's usually taken us ~25 minutes to get to DHS and ~30 minutes to get to AK. I would be at the bus stop no later than 60 minutes prior to your ADR.

Recent reports have the Poly bus to HS, AK and DTD sharing with the Grand Floridian instead of the Contemporary. We saw that the DTD bus shared with Poly/GF and CR/WL when we were there last month.

That makes a lot more sense to me. When I was there in early May, the DHS bus was WL/CR and Poly/GF also. I don't remember how long anything took.

In January, we shared once with CR and once with the GF. I am not 100% sure but I think on the way to DHS, we shared with GF and on the way to AK, we shared with the CR. I didn't think it was bad at all. For DHS, we were picked up first before stopping at the GF. For AK, we were picked up second after they stopped at the CR. We didn't feel sharing with GF was a problem at all. However, when stopping at the CR on the way home, there was a long line at CR's gate so it took us awhile to actually drop off people going to CR. We had a seat for all but one bus ride and that was on New Years Eve. Overall, bus service was pretty good and nothing to really complain about

We found the bus service to be very good to all parks. DTD and the waterparks bus service we found to be not so good. We usually take a taxi to those locations. It's quick and not that expensive.
