Question about Pins

Hi there- I have a question and I hope I can explain myself correctly.

We booked our early December 09 trip this past April. I had been hoping that free dining would come out to cover those dates (or by 4 get 3 free) but obviously, nothing has come out for the beginning of December yet. On
May 1st, I recieved a pin for book 5 nights get 2 free of hotel and tickets with a $100 gift card included. Right before we received the pin we had had the conversation of "why don't we just go ahead and make the 5 day vac. a 7 day one" and so getting the 5/2 pin seemed like a sign and we jumped on it right away. We ended up adding one more day to our package on top of it all before we finally had to say enough is enough!

My question is: have I screwed myself booking that pin offer? Should I have held out for a better one and is there any possibility that a better offer will come my way? Has anyone ever gotten another pin after using a pin? I'm not trying to double dip. I know I can't use two offers, I just want the best one. All in all, it seems like the 5/2 deal is only saving us $200 when I go and check out the rack rates and compare them to our offer. (we're staying at pop) Free Dining would offer much more savings.

Any opinions or advice?

If you get another deal, you can always change your package as long as there is availability at your resort. If there's not, you could also switch resorts if you are willing.

PP is correct. We originally booked 10 nights at ASMu, in Sept, at the AAA rate. Then we got a PIN for %40 off. So, I switched us to POFQ. Then free dining was offered so I switched back to ASMu for the first 5 nights. (Didn't want to give up my chance to upgrade, entirely.)

We had originally paid a deposit equal to one night at ASMu. With the switch to POFQ I gave them an additional $22 deposit to bring it up to the POFQ rate. When the next adjustment was made, I had to give a $200 deposit for the free dining package but the other deposit was fine and didn't need any changes. It might sound complicated but it really wasn't.

So make the reservation that you want and feel free to change if something better comes along.
