Question about pin trading at DL

I have a Dream lanyard with two special pins that say WDW, still in the package, from our 9/07 trip to WDW. Would this be something that we could trade at DL, maybe for several pins? We aren't really planning on bringing a lot of pins with us, but thought that I could easily pack that and maybe the boys could trade for a few pins and then just keep trading for pins they want to bring home.

If you trade with CM you can definitely trade them one to one (1 pin for 1 pin). If you find another pin trader who are looking for that particular pin you might be able to trade then for however many the other trader is willing to trade. Depends on the specific demand for that pin.
You can check it out on: www.pinpics.com

good luck!

You can, but don't expect more than pin for pin for them. My DBF loved trading for those! He got all but the 2 that are in full color from WDW. I really should try to find them on eBay or something.....

Do pins for trading have a decrease in value as they get older or is it like coin collecting? I have an old Tinkerbell pin that a dear friend gave me that she bought in the 80's. I am just curious. I wouldn't trade it though, it is special to me.

I think the value more depends on how many of a particular pin were made. The exclusive or limited pins are the most valuable.

Pin value comes down to how rare the pin is and how much another person really wants it. Age can make a pin rare, but other factors such as edition size, character(some are just more popular than others), and so forth will ultimately determine the value.

Yup, he has those!! He was so excited to get them, he has both sets from DL but only the blue & silver set from WDW. They are tradable, definitely. Their value will depend on who wants them really. I've got a lot of really nice pins, for me value depends on the circumstances I got them under. Some of them are much more precious than others (like my Pooh set with the scarves that my DD7 traded for, I wouldn't have taken them but since she got one for me we then had to try to find the rest of the set. lol) Some I absolutely wouldn't trade but others I would..kwim? Value is really subjective, it depends on the collector/trader.

I tried that but it didn't work.

I know absolutely nothing about them or if they are selling "legit" Disney pins, but I found mousepinsonline.com

Again, idk anything about them and have never bought from them.

Mouspinsonline is the site Jade was referring to earlier. :) It's a great site, they sell good pins for trading!
