Question About Photography

I am planning on having an intimate wedding, but using a non-Disney photographer...so here are my questions:

1) If you do not use the Disney photography service, do they credit you the money in any way?

2) If they do not credit you the money, because it is a package deal, can you go ahead and use them (to get the 12 photos) in addition to the photographer you hire?

Sorry if these are silly questions, I am trying to learn about all this stuff as quickly as possible.

To answer your question they will not refund you for the photography if you chose an outside photographer. Instead, they will schedule you for a honeymoon shoot inside one of the parks. They used to do arrival shots for your wedding instead but that has recently changed to the new policy of honeymoon shots. I was told that you could not have both photographers under any circumstances.

No, the 5am shots are Magic Kingdom shots...very "exclusive" as you essentially have the park to yourselves. It costs about $800 I think.

Basically, the honeymoon package includes (as of May 2005, so it might have changed a bit):
-guided tour of the Disney Theme park of your choice to determine photo locations.
-includes your choice of the following locations: Cinderella Castle at MK, Epcot World Showcase, Tower of Terror, or the Tree of Life at AK.
-20 4x6 prints
-"beautiful" white leather bound album
-session does not include admission to the park
-casual attired and comfortable walking shoes are recommended
-session for bride and groom only; wedding attire not permitted

Also, unless things have changed, Disney will charge you an "extra" fee (I think it's like $50 or $75) for the "upgrade" to the honeymoon package.
