Question about Photobucket

When you upload your pictures, are they visible to anyone to who wants to see them? Is there a way to keep them private?

I would think that someone would need to know your i.d. and password to view them.

That's what I thought too, but I just put them up a couple of days ago, and it said something like 110 views! It just surprised me.

Check your 'account settings' tab, and make sure that your albums are set to private as one of the options.

You can also click on the 'all albums' tab ... if there isn't a lock icon showing next to the album title, then it's not set to private. The albums may be set up as public by default, which means that anyone can track a pic posted on the web to viewing anything in your account.

Wow, apparently it does default to Public, I just went & set mine to Private...thanks for the OP and thanks for the advice from the pp

If you've uploaded them there to link on the Dis, or somewhere like that, you will get 'views' from that. They can show you a chart of where your views are coming from and when. So they may not be random viewers but poeple you intended to see the pictures.

But yes, anyone can see them if you don't actively make them private.
