Here's the scenario. You and your wife are having a date night at Epcot...dinner and IllumiNations. You two kids will be at The Sandcastle Club, at BC. So....do you park your car there, in self-parking since your kids will be in the resort, do you pay to valet, or do you drive to the Epcot parking lot?
This came up in the DIS FP page, and I was curious what all of you would say.
Go.

I think it's fine to use self parking at the resort in this case.

Valet, please. The self park lot is for people staying at the resort.

Parking in the Epcot lot wouldn't work if you are going to stay in Epcot for Illuminations. You would be able to leave Epcot to get to the BC but you wouldn't be able to get back into Epcot to go back to the parking lot.

Parking at the resort is not meant for theme park access.

Ahhh, but....two kids will be at the resort, parents paying a premium for them to be there. So, to my way of thinking, they are using the resort amenities, so can self-park.
Everyone here knows that I'm pretty much a stickler for not parking at a resort and then heading to a park. But, in this case, I think it's okay.

That's my thinking as well. They are using the amenities at the resort, they have a right to park there.
