Hi everyone,

It’s been quite a while since we have done Disney. Our trip is the first week of November, but I won’t have my tickets purchased until the last week of August. Right now all parks are open to book for the days we will be there. Am I waiting too late (end of August) to get my park reservation made? (I will be happy when this procedure is gone, not a fan).

Thanks to all responses,
E

Park passes look to only be filling up a week to 10 days in advance right now. Getting the tickets 2 months early should give you plenty of time to get your reservations selected, though I'd suggest to check the availability calendar at least once a week just to ensure the full park indication isn't going further out especially getting close to later August before you're able to purchase.

Also, heads up, Chapek said this spring he believes the reservation system will be in place long term, so don't count on it going away. 😉

Now that park capacity has increased, reservations aren't filling up as far in advance as they used to. That said, you *should* be ok waiting until August for a November trip, although nothing is guaranteed of course.

Sadly - I waited too long and the park we wanted to visit is booked. When planning our trip over a year ago, I had no idea that the 50th would kick off the day before we arrived, and now Epcot is booked on the day we need to be there. Hoping we can hop in, but not holding my breath since it's going to be so crowded. Moral of the story - book as early as you possibly can.

It'd be surprising if you have park hoppers and you're blocked from hopping. Hasn't been an issue yet. I know the 50th seems like it'll be the highest crowds since reopening, but they do typically take in account park hoppers when setting park reservations by day.

I'm curious as to how far in advance you were blocked from booking Epcot. Was it more than 2 months out?
