Question about parade traffic

after our afternoon nap we are going to be arriving back at the park around 6- 6:30. I know the parade starts at 6:30. how will i be able to walk down main street if the parade is going on? the first ride we plan to go to is big thunder, and i want to be there no later than 6:45... any pointers please...

also how long is the parade???

I think you could enter the park and then take the Disneyland train around to New Orleans Square station. You could avoid the parade crowd that way...

The CMs will keep a path open on the sidewalks but it will be crowded and slow. I agree that your best bet is to grab a train to NOS.

agree with all the above...take the train to NOS...it's a pain to get through during a parade!
